DVRPC offers a 100 % paid health, dental insurance and prescription plan. Provided to you and your family at no cost to you!

The following benefits are available for all DVRPC regular full-time employees and long-term temporary positions:

Two options for Health insurance:

  1. Personal Choice (PPO)
    *$5.00 co-pay with no need to select a primary doctor or receive referrals for specialists. Has a healthy lifestyles program.

  2. Keystone Health Plan East (HMO)
    *$2.00 co-pay for primary care and $0.00 for referred specialists. Includes a $100.00 reimbursement every two years for contacts or glasses.

All employees enrolled in a health care program will receive the Delta Dental program and the prescription plan.

Waiver of Health/Dental
Health insurance or Health and Dental insurance can be waived for a 50% reimbursement of the Commission's costs. You must be covered by another health insurance program and provide DVRPC with verification. The Commission reimburses the employee two times per year - July and January. Employees must sign up for this program each year at open enrollment.

Life Insurance- Coverage is provided in the amount of your annual salary rounded up to the nearest thousand.

You are eligible for Health, Dental, and Life insurance after the successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.

Other Benefits

TransitChek- A $60.00/month tax-free commuter benefit provided for you to use on any local transit provider or vanpool service.

Vacation Leave- Less than 1 year of service: 10 days/yr.
1-10 years of service: 15 days/yr.
After 10 years of service: 20 days/yr.

Sick Leave- 15 days/yr.

Personal Leave- 4 days/yr. Personal Leave days apply to regular salaried employees only and must be used in the calendar year.

Holidays- DVRPC employees receive 12 paid holidays per year. In order to be paid for the holiday, you must be in compensable status both the day before and the day after a holiday. Non-salaried employees are not paid for holidays, but may charge the day to vacation leave if it has been earned.

Retirement- All regular employees will become members of the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement System and are eligible to enroll in the Deferred Compensation Program.

Credit Union- You and your family members are eligible to join the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union.

Limited Benefits for DVRPC paid interns/short-term temps:

TransitChek- $60.00 per month (only eligible if working a 37.5 hour work week). $30.00 per month (only eligible if working a 22.5 hour work week).

Annual & Sick Leave- Accrued based on the number of hours worked.

Holidays- Paid interns & short-term temps are not paid for the holidays, but accrued annual leave can be applied for Commission holidays.
