Land Use & Housing Committee (LUHC)Chair: Richard Bickel, DVRPC The Land Use & Housing Committee was formed in 2006 by the combination of the Land Use & Development Committee and Regional Housing Committee.
Regional Housing Committee (RHC)Meeting Frequency: No more meetings scheduled The Regional Housing Committee provides a regional forum for housing issues facing the Delaware Valley and directs housing research and planning activites by DVRPC staff. The Committee makes recommendations to the DVRPC Board and staff on housing-related issues to be addressed in the annual work program; keeps DVRPC Board and staff apprised of current and emerging citizen concerns relating to housing; and serves in a technical review capacity on all housing-related studies being conducted by DVRPC staff.
Land Use & Development CommitteeMeeting Frequency: No more meetings scheduled The Land Use and Development Committee was established in 1999 to assess and influence the shifting patterns of land use and development that changes the natural environment and creates the demand for transportation services and facilities in the Delaware Valley. This includes providing input and guidance for DVRPC initiatives that affect regional land use, serving as a forum for communication between state, county and municipal land use planning officials, private sector developers and homebuilders, environmental advocates and others and reviewing and analyzing proposed state legislation or policy that affects planning for land use and development and prepare policy positions for recommendations to the DVRPC Board. Members meet to exchange information, renew significant plans or development proposals, and provide direction for DVRPC land use plans and programs.
