2. PHFA's Homeownership Choice Program - Robert Bobincheck, Director, Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency Office of Strategic Planning and Policy
The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency's Homeownership Choice (HCP) Initiatives provide funding for the development and/or rehabilitation of single family homes in urban communities and the rehabilitation of the upper floors of store fronts on the commercial corridors of urban neighborhoods and core communities. Mr. Bobincheck will discuss the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency's three Homeownership Choice initiatives, including the Homeownership Construction Initiative, the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative and the Mixed-Use Facility Financing Initiative.
3. America's Affordable Communities Initiative - David McCarraher, Operation Specialist, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Mr. McCarraher will discuss HUD's Affordable Communities Initiative, a Department-wide effort to help identify and overcome regulatory barriers to affordable housing. The intent of the Department is to identify and analyze burdensome or duplicative regulations at all levels of government; assist states and local governments in developing comprehensive programs to remove regulatory barriers; and update the 1991 Report of HUD's Advisory Commission on Regulatory Barriers.
