2. The Role of Community Development Corporations in Affordable Housing Development - Michael Powell, Community Planning Specialist, Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey
Community development corporations (CDCs) can play a vital role in developing housing opportunities and improving the quality of life for low and moderate income residents. The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey is a statewide association of over 250 affordable housing CDCs, individuals and organizations that support the creation of housing and economic development opportunities for New Jersey residents. Mr. Powell will discuss the role of CDC's in providing funding opportunities, training, and personal development skills for those mid-to lower-income residents of New Jersey seeking housing options.
3. Staff Presentations:
Live/Work Housing - Mary Ng, Regional Planner, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. Ms. Ng will summarize the findings and recommendations of DVRPC's recently completed report on live/work housing developments.
Destination 2030: The Long Range Land Use and Transportation Plan for the Delaware Valley - Michael Boyer, Manager of Long Range Transportation Planning, DVRPC. Mr. Boyer will update the committee on the progress of the development of DVRPC's 2030 transportation and land use plan.
Financing Mixed-Use Developments - Kevin Denton, Regional Planner, DVRPC. Mr. Denton will introduce DVRPC's FY 2005 work program project on mixed-use development, scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2005.
4. FY 2006 Work Program Development - John Griffies, Work Program Coordinator, DVRPC
Each year DVRPC develops an annual work program of projects and initiatives to be undertaken during the following fiscal year. Mr. Griffies will review the schedule and process for developing the FY2006 Work program. Regional Housing Committee members will review and recommend project priorities to the DVRPC Board.

Committee members are invited to provide updates on ongoing activities and initiatives within their individual County or agency.
