MEETING HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED |
Heather Kump, Regional Economic Policy Planner, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), will review ongoing work on DVRPC's current project entitled Residential Investment in Centers and Corridors. The purpose of this project is to assess existing trends in residential growth and investment and identify obstacles and opportunities for residential reinvestment in the region's cities, boroughs and first generation suburbs. Phase I, currently in draft form, analyzes data on population growth, building permits and mortgage lending trends and identifies barriers to residential redevelopment in centers. Phase II will include discussions of several case studies which highlight successful examples of residential development in the region's centers. Ms. Kump will discuss ongoing work efforts and present the first of the case studies, the Lantern Hill development in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
