1. Discussion Item: Reinvestment in Centers and Corridors

Heather Kump, Regional Economic Policy Planner, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), will review ongoing work on DVRPC's current project entitled Residential Investment in Centers and Corridors. The purpose of this project is to assess existing trends in residential growth and investment and identify obstacles and opportunities for residential reinvestment in the region's cities, boroughs and older suburbs. A second phase highlighting examples of successful residential redevelopment in centers will commence on July 1, 2002.

Along with a status report, Ms. Kump has arranged for several of the region's developers to attend the meeting and participate in a round-table discussion with Committee members regarding challenges to developing in existing centers.
