1. Welcome and Introductions: Barry Seymour, DVRPC Assistant Executive Director

2. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Smart Growth and Housing Policy Direction and Initiatives: Larry Segal, Executive Director, Governor's Office of Housing and Community Revitalization

In September 2003, Governor Rendell created the Governor's Office of Housing and Revitalization, whose primary responsibilities include coordinating Pennsylvania's overall housing policy; serving as a liaison between all state agencies involved in housing and community revitalization; and making recommendations directly to the Governor on housing and community revitalization issues, including both legislative issues and program development. Mr. Segal will discuss the Commonwealth's current housing and smart growth policy directions and initiatives. As the Office's Executive Director, Mr. Segal also serves as Chairman of the Governor's Housing Cabinet.

3. Status of the New Jersey Development and Redevelopment Plan Update and ongoing Smart Growth Initiatives: Adam Zellner, Executive Director, New Jersey Office of Smart Growth

The New Jersey Office of Smart Growth is charged with implementing the State's Development and Redevelopment Plan, the goals of which include the prevention of pollution, traffic congestion, and sprawl while improving the quality of life for all New Jersey residents. The Office is currently undertaking a Cross-acceptance process as a step towards updating the State Plan. Mr. Zellner will present the status and direction for the update of the New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan, and report on current Smart Growth Planning Grant initiatives in the DVRPC region's four New Jersey counties.

4. DVRPC's Year 2030 Long- Range Land Use and Transportation Planning Process: Richard Bickel, Deputy Director, Regional Planning

DVRPC is currently in the process of updating the Commission's Year 2025 Long-Range Land Use and Transportation Plan. Mr. Bickel will brief Committee members on the status of the Year 2030 planning process.

Committee members are invited to provide updates on ongoing activities and initiatives within their individual County or agency.
