2. Camden Hub Plan - Dr. Richard Harris, Executive Director, The Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs, Rutgers Camden
Camden County, the City of Camden and 13 surrounding municipalities are working with the Walter Rand Institute to develop a common development plan intended to win recognition as a "metropolitan complex" under the New Jersey State Plan. Following committee meetings, stakeholder interviews and public focus groups, the plan is now nearing completion.
3. Delaware County Renaissance Program - John Pickett, Director, Delaware County Planning Department
Delaware County's Renaissance program includes open space mapping for the 20 municipalities in the northern and western part of the county, and five revitalization and reinvestment plans for the 29 small boroughs, townships and cities in the eastern portion of the county. The process to establish the program and results to date will be presented.
4. Schuylkill Valley Metro Station Area Planning Study - John Beckman, Principal and Project Manager, Wallace Roberts & Todd
DVRPC sponsored a project to work with local community task forces in five communities to plan for and design transit-oriented development strategies around the proposed station stops for the Schuylkill Valley Metro. The detailed planning and lessons learned provide guidance for future TOD planning at other station areas throughout the region.
