AGENDA
- Welcome and Introductions
Barry Seymour, DVRPC Assistant Executive Director
- Transportation and Community Development Initiative
Barry Seymour
DVRPC has recently announced a new program that will provide funding for local governments to undertake planning, design, analysis or feasibility studies that support redevelopment and revitalization. The program is targeted to the cities, boroughs, and older suburbs of the region.
- Infrastructure Concurrency
Robert Dean, Regional Planner, DVRPC
A new report Managing Growth: Infrastructure Concurrency examines the potential use of infrastructure concurrency as a planning tool within the region and the prospects for its future adoption. Concurrency was proposed as an element of the changes to the Pennsylvania MPC last year, but was dropped before final adoption.
- Transit Oriented Development and the South Jersey Light Rail Line
Karin Morris, Regional Planner, DVRPC
The construction of the new light rail line between Camden and Trenton presents an opportunity for the older towns along the river to plan for new development around the rail stations. DVRPC has assisted a number of these towns in the planning, design, and ordinance revisions needed to support TOD.
- Legislative Updates
Richard Bickel, Deputy Director of Regional Planning, DVRPC
- Old and New Business
