  2. Horizons - Year 2025 Plan. Report #2: Issues and Choices
    Richard Bickel, DVRPC Associate Director for Regional Planning

    DVRPC is now completing the second report of five for its long-range regional plan. This report will examine the global and regional issues that must be considered in planning the region's future and offer alternative scenarios of development.

  3. Pennsylvania Land Use Advisory Panel Report to the Governor
    Creigh Rahenkamp, Panel member

    In 1999, Governor Ridge directed the Center for Local Government Services to hold a series of public workshops around the Commonwealth to solicit comment on the system of land use management in Pennsylvania. A Land Use Advisory Panel was also appointed and charged to prepare a report by January 2000 defining sound land use and documenting practices and tools now available.

  4. The Costs of Sprawl in Pennsylvania

    This study, sponsored by 10,000 Friends and undertaken by Clarion Associates, asks and attempts to answer the question: What are the hidden costs of sprawl in Pennsylvania, how big are they, and who pays for them?
