New Task Force members will be recognized and March 18, 1998 meeting notes will be offered for approval.
[2] Federal Surface Transportation Legislation Reauthorization
Highlights of the transportation bill recently passed by the US Congress, TEA 21, will be presented by DVRPC staff. The bill has several provisions for goods movement, and includes several earmark projects that will be beneficial to the local freight community.
[3] Delaware Valley Rail Freight Plan
DVRPC staff will provide an overview of a rail freight plan under development for the Delaware Valley region. The plan will be prepared in atlas format, identify regional rail freight features and capabilities, and chart out a future improvement program.
[4] New Jersey Intermodal Management System
DVRPC staff will summarize their preparation of an Intermodal Management System for freight and passenger facilities in New Jersey. The freight element of the IMS is focused on evaluating highway access, and developing a set of projects to improve roadway operations and geometry, signage, and safety.
[5] Two-minute ReportsTask Force members will provide updates on the relevant activities of their companies and agencies.
