| a. US 30 Bypass Reconstruction Traffic Study (Chester County) This study will improve access to and efficiency of the region's transportation network by analyzing alternative highway improvements to the Coatesville-Downingtown (US 30) Bypass and providing traffic forecasts for this facility. |
| b. Phase Two Contract - Route 41 Corridor Land Use/Management Alternatives Assessment in Chester County This study will be done in response to a key corridor issue; the need to integrate municipal and county land use planning objectives with the transportation planning process. |
| c. Smart Growth Regional Indicators This project proposes two interconnected research initiatives that will seek to address both sides of the Smart Growth issue: the Urban Core Development Study and a Land Preservation Study. |
| d. Philadelphia Neighborhood Plans This project will develop comprehensive plans in three Philadelphia neighborhoods that involve considerable public and private sector participation and extensive resident engagement. |
An additional $1.5 million is available for the JARC Grant Program. DVRPC staff will present the recommended applications for Board approval.
Patrick Starr, Chairman of the RCC, will report to the Board the activities of the RCC's Meeting of July 16, 2002.
Board Committee Appointments for FY 2003
Staff will outline the upcoming DVRPC CMAQ Competition. This round, the last of TEA-21, has available $10 million for Pennsylvania projects and, for the first time, $1 million for the New Jersey projects.
