Ports, and Waterways, Sharon A. Daboin. Ms. Daboin will also serve as co-chair
of the Goods Movement Task Force.

1. Call to order
All Task Force members and guests will be recognized and the January 17, 2003
meeting notes will be offered for the committee's approval (see meeting highlights).
2. Regional Cordon Line Stations for the Delaware Valley Region
Dr. Joseph Hacker will discuss DVRPC's recently completed survey of vehicular
traffic entering and leaving the Delaware Valley region. The survey of major
highway routes is part of DVRPC's traffic monitoring program, provides information
about truck and auto travel patterns at the regional boundary such as trip origin
and destination, and is useful in determining priorities in transportation infrastructure
improvements.
3. Wilmington-Harrisburg Freight Study
David Hunt, Senior Intermodal Freight Planner with Wilbur Smith Associates,
will present an overview and final results of the Wilmington-Harrisburg Freight
Study. This multi-jurisdictional study addresses the issue of increasing truck
and intermodal freight traffic along the Wilmington-Harrisburg corridor, specifically
Route 41 (PA & DE), US 30, and PA 283.
4. Freight Planning
Dr. Lazar Spasovic, Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, will
discuss three transportation research initiatives: The Freight Planning Support
System for the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority; expert witness
testimony for New Jersey DOT in the federal lawsuit brought against the state
by the American Trucking Associations, Inc.; and yearly updates on the mobility
and the costs of congestion in New Jersey.
5. Two-minute Reports
Task Force and Subcommittee chairs and Task Force members and guests will provide
updates on the activities of their companies and agencies.
6. Old and New Business
Old and new items of business will be considered.
