Job Classifications

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) offers a variety of positions that provide challenging full and part-time career opportunities, including valuable, hands-on internship, work study and volunteer work experiences. There are three (3) classifications of employees at DVRPC, all having a specific level of benefits.

Regular Full-Time Salaried

Regular Full-Time Salaried employees work a 37.5 hour week, and are eligible for all DVRPC benefits.This classification applies to the majority of our employees.

Regular Part-Time Hourly

Regular part-time employees work a minimum of 22.5 and less than 30 hours per week. Regular part-time employees are eligible for certain benefits of which some are on a pro-rated basis. These positions have no designated end date.

Temporary Hourly Employees

Temporary hourly employees which include Short-Term Temporary employees, Paid Interns, and Cooperative Education students have non-salaried positions. These individuals are hired to assist on a limited number of projects for a defined period of time. This classification has a limited benefits package.

Work Study & Unpaid Internships

Available to graduate and undergraduate advanced degree college students, unpaid internship and work study opportunities are available on an as-needed basis. DVRPC provides students with challenging work including research, analysis and technical assistance alongside our seasoned professional staff.

Volunteers

On occasion the opportunity arises to volunteer in a professional capacity at the DVRPC. Assist DVRPC's staff to provide technical support for the future growth and economic development of the Delaware Valley region.
